V Deep     Released April 1982.  Highest UK chart position - No 64.
And then there were five - Gerry Cott (guitar) left the band after the recording of Mondo Bongo.  This and the fact that this is the Rat's fifth album, might explain the title ('Five Deep').  But that wouldn't explain the name given to the second side of the album, 'VI Shallow'........ for the real explanation of the album title, it's probably best if you Google it!  A far greater focus on keyboards on this album led to some of the Rats' strongest tunes including Never in a Million Years and the oh-so catchy House on Fire.
